I had the pleasure of putting down a set for Plastic Love out in Los Angeles. Plastic Love is comprised of Bas Elgharib and Jimmy Maheras, two very down to earth dudes with an ear for all that is plastic and dripping with love! I put down my flavor of distinguishable dance music as always, I made sure to represent OC so I played Steven Ryback’s remix of Bill Withers and Knoe1′s edit of “Where’s My Party People.” I also made sure to represent those from abroad who have showed me some love so I finished out with Jay Shepheard and Tad Wily’s latest track “Hefty Done Me Right” and then finished it out with Jay’s edit of “The Beloved Sun Rising.”

December 17, 2011 Deep House Thursday @ Proof Bar (Jan. 5th 2012)

Early in 2012, Proof Bar in downtown Santa Ana will be host to local talent Brando Commando, Steven Ryback, aDJnamedCK, Neo Seo and Danielsan. You might remember Brando Commando as of one the guests from the first Habituate party back in September. You can catch his live recorded set from that night to hold you over until Jan. 5th and you can also find Steve Ryback’s remix of Bill Withers’ funk classic “Who is he?” a couple posts back.

November 27, 2011 Bill Withers – Who is He? (Ryback Remix) FREE DOWNLOAD

Found this deep house track while over at Loose Village’s website. This track is clean house refurbishment of Bill Withers’ funk classic “Who is He?” Coincidentally the post prior to this one features a track that re-edits the 1987 remake of “Who is He?” by house music producer Prioritee. Love hearing these back to back!
